Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1974, Marcus from a young age, knew he had an attraction for art. His love appeared when he was 6 years old. He used to be asked to draw in his friends' notebooks.

Growing up in a city which is hosts spectacular festivals, like Carnival, Marcus exhibits all the great influence and life of Brazil’s colorful culture in his work.

 

Following his passion, Marcus graduated from the University of UNESA in Brazil, studying the Art of Photography and Graphic Design. Through his study and growth as an artist, Marcus was greatly influenced by some of the great painters and movements of the past, such as Vincent Van Gogh, Picasso, Gaugin, and Leroy Neiman...

Marcus's art is a strong representation of a young lifestyle. In his themes, Marcus uses elements and colors that represent and adapt to a healthy and energetic life. In its creative process, this art also incorporates the idea of the energy that an object or a person can generate in space when it is in motion.

His odd sense and view of colors in his art are incredibly unique, as his ‘intention is to establish harmony, tranquillity, purity, and balance in his paintings with the use of colors.

Marcus has collectors of his work in various parts of the world such as Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, San Diego, Hawaii, Colombia, Florida, Japan, Sydney, and here on the Gold Coast.​
